Dualvee, dual-vee, dualv — Linear Guide Wheels

Bishop-Wisecarver is recognized as the market leader for guide wheel technology. In 1968, Bud Wisecarver designed DualVee Motion Technology® to provide a solution for harsh environment applications where existing technologies were ineffective. DualVee also proved excellent for long length, smooth motion and low noise requirements. View some applications stories!

More than 40 years later, our wide range of linear motion components, linear guides and actuated linear systems continue to be time-proven, economical solutions for all types of application environments. From clean room to high debris applications, Bishop-Wisecarver has the linear motion solutions to fit your needs.

DualVee Motion Technology

Three main components define our motion technology:

  • The DualVee guide wheel
  • Mating vee profile track with patented mounting shoulder
  • Support bushings

DualVee Motion Technology is one of the most popular guided motion products because of its self-cleaning action, self-aligning track (mounting shoulder) and overall lower installation cost. Our founder invented this particular type of linear bearing because he saw how comparable guide wheels jam up with debris in critical application environments. To fix that, Bud Wisecarver created this double-vee edge wheel we continue to successfully sell today. These linear guide wheels have stood the test of time, not just with their design but with actual component durability — there is no such thing as a replacement. The design is elegant because of its simplicity and function, enough so to have entirely revolutionized the guided motion control industry.
