On October 4, 2024, we hosted an awesome Manufacturing Day with students from Clayton Valley Charter, Mount Diablo High School, and Ygnacio Valley High School. The students went on plant tours that showed off all the cool stuff we do at Bishop-Wisecarver® and learned from our various departments, from Marketing and IT to Sales and Engineering. Our team was around to answer questions and give everyone a behind-the-scenes look at how we keep things running smoothly.
A special guest at the event was the Skorpios team from BattleBots, who brought their robot for display, and some small robots for students to play with! They were thrilled to learn that the Skorpios robot uses Bishop-Wisecarver’s products, giving them a tangible example of how our technology supports cutting-edge innovation in real-world applications.

The students participated in a hands-on LoPro® Linear Actuator assembly activity with various prizes. The fastest team of the day completed the building challenge in only 10 minutes! The high schoolers were thrilled to participate, and our team made more games possible throughout the day.
Pamela Kan, President and owner of Bishop-Wisecarver, delivered an inspiring speech about the importance of manufacturing and the wealth of career opportunities it offers. She also took the opportunity to launch the annual Wisecarver Innovation Design Contest, inviting students to develop creative solutions and apply their new understanding of manufacturing technology.
We’re already looking forward to MFG Day 2025, where we’ll continue to inspire the next generation of innovators and makers!
